Why is "Doctor Gradus ad parnassus" set to grade 8?

It's more like grade 6, I don't find it at all comparable to other grade 8 pieces.
What was their reasoning behind this?
Top Comment: My old piano teacher is right, to an extent - grades are getting dumbed down. Tbf, I did Gradus ad Parnassum for my Grade 8, if only to get the grade lol. However, as for actual reasoning - it's fairly easy, but it's about how you choose to play it. You don't have to speed up or slow down where indicated really, let's be honest - and I think examiners would want to hear conviction in your ideas, and this piece is open enough for you to experiment and perhaps deliver in one's own style, if that makes sense. Also, it should probably be played pretty quickly I guess.
